Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed three Chelsea players that made him proud in the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

“I’m disappointed to lose three points as you should be and always will be,” Lampard told Sky Sports after the game.

“I’m actually happier today in many ways than I was at Brighton. Brighton was three points, an okay performance, a pre-season fill because we hadn’t had long enough to train as individuals and a collective.

“Today I saw spirit, I saw desire to defend by a lot of our players. Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo (Tomori) when he came on.

“Midfield giving everything. You play half the game with ten men, you don’t make that mistake for the second goal and you score the penalty for 1-1.

“I know that’s not football and I can’t reflect on that.

“But those are the realities. The players should take heart and it’s how we go forward now.”

Let’s all exercise patience a little and see the way forward. Pulisic and Hskim and Thiago will join the team soon and there after if Lampard fails to deliver then we talk.

  7. For now i have no problem with our coach lampard, the boy are still coming up, new players trying to adapt to the style of play and those in injury still yet to come so it just two games let still be postive and i believe we will be better than last season

Lampard should have started with those players he’s keeping, Hervets and Werner can’t cope up with EPL .
Werner is selfish, then let Abraham go on loan. Kante must stay, zouma and kante were men of the match.

    • You know nothing about selfishness and football, how does a striker who wants to win for his team be selfish, there is no sense in that. A real Chelsea fan with the blue blood will know that Chelsea in its current state are transforming for now and the next 5 a 10 years. The boys are young and needs time to gel. The match against Liverpool clearly showed that Liverpool can’t match the full quality we have now. Last season only one player (pulisic) messed them up even though we lost. But this time around it is 4 up front. Before you pick on lampard to be sacked check yourself and ask is that sensible, the future of chelsea is Super Frankie… leave it or take it. If you can’t bare Chelsea please leave.

  10. Chelsea need a better goal keeper.
    The team is not bad.

Next season, Chelsea will produce the best team.

    Mark my words.

  11. Chelsea is a good team but it’s about our goalkeeper and lampard need to remove kepa arrizagbalaga because he is the one who usually spoil Chelsea match especially when Chelsea played with Liverpool on Sunday the match really pained me.

To me, I don’t like the way we are playing back from the middle, instead to push attack, then, I don’t know why Lampard keep Giroud and odoi on the bench, if we continue that way, am sorry, because, we are already miss some key player’s,so we should manage what we have in hand, but we are still do the experiment.
