Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is yet to start a game for Chelsea this season, with the French striker coming off the bench against Barnsley and West Brom.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has opened up on Olivier Giroud’s reaction to his limited playing time this season so far.
According to Lampard, Giroud encourages and backs his teammates from the bench despite his limited playing time.
“With Oli, and I keep talking about squad members, when he’s not playing I keep hearing him behind me on the bench shouting for Tammy, encouraging, backing his teammate, and those things are huge,” Lampard told Chelsea’s official website.
Despite just two substitute appearances for the Blues, Giroud has scored once for Chelsea, a goal in the 6-0 thrashing of Barnsley.
