Chelsea fans would have been expecting an easy win against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday evening, but it wasn’t so.
Just 27 minutes into the game, Chelsea were already 3-0 down, with a brace from Callum Robinson and another goal from Kyle Bartley.
A revival in the second half sparked a comeback from the Chelsea team, as Frank Lampard made two changes at half-time.
Lampard was also asked by Sky Sports what his message was to the players at half-time to spark the comeback.
The Blues boss responded: “It’s clear, we created two or three really great chances in the first half, I felt we were going to create more.
“The only problem is when you’re two or three down West Brom are going to really, seriously protect the lead which means dropping back, which means frustrating moments and staying patient, and we did that to a big degree.”
