Manchester United legend Roy Keane has admitted Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was a better player than him.
In his 13 seasons at Stamford Bridge, Lampard made 648 appearances across all competitions, scored 210 goals, collected 151 assists and helped the Blues win 13 major trophies, including three Premier League titles and a Champions League.
“When you compare me to players – people talk about Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard – these guys were way better than me,” iconic Manchester United captain Roy Keane told The Irish Independent.
“I’m not saying they had the same influence in their teams as me and I couldn’t compete with the guys, but, yeah, they were better than me. I had lads at Rockmount better than me. I’m under no illusions about that.”
The legendary Chelsea midfielder is currently Chelsea boss.
