Frank Lampard was known as a total professional during his playing days, and the Englishman will definitely bring that same level of commitment to his career as a manager.
Former Tottenham and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has revealed a special trait in the Chelsea manager, as he reveals that nothing unfazes the Blues legend turned manager.
“If you know Frank, nothing fazes him. He really is an incredible character, I’ve said many, many times the way he trained and his determination to become a top player it was incredible really,” Harry Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“I had never seen anything like it; every day on the training ground he would be out there in the afternoon at about four o’clock in the winter.
“It was getting dark, but he would still be out there in the training ground; practising, practising.”
Lampard defied expectations last season as he led a young Chelsea squad to an impressive top four finish.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho named Chelsea manager Frank Lampard as the best professional he’s ever worked with during Spurs’ new ‘All or Nothing’ documentary on Amazon Prime.
Mourinho made the remark about Lampard during a private conversation with Christian Eriksen before Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in December.
During a scene where Mourinho was watching Lampard’s press conference with Spurs’ players, Eriksen asked the Tottenham manager: “Good guy?”
Mourinho replied: “Frank? Yeah.”
