Chelsea played a 3-3 draw with West Brom at the Hawthorns, as Frank Lampard’s side came from three goals down to seal a point late in the game.

See the player ratings for this game

Caballero: Conceded three goals in the first half and had little to do in the second half. Was brutally exposed by his defence, but he didn’t do much to salvage the situation. 4/10

Reece James: Mixed game from the right-back. A couple of good crosses and poor corners as well as his positioning defensively, was suspect at times. 5/10

Christensen: Returned to the team following a red card against Liverpool. No individual error from his side as the defence looked too porous. 5/10

Silva: Captain of the evening as he made his Premier League debut. Big error for West Brom’s second goal. 3/10

Alonso: Had to be hauled off at half-time. A horrendous performance by any standard. Easy to be blamed for almost all the goals Chelsea conceded. 1/10

Kovacic: Taken off at half-time, moreso because of his poor defensive contribution, as he often left the midfield exposed. 4/10

Kante: Slow on the ball at times, especially in the first half. Got better in the second period, and worked really hard to protect the defence as the rest of the team went to attack. 5/10

Mount: Worked hard all through the game. Seemed to be Chelsea’s brightest spark in the first-half. Started the comeback in the second half with a good goal. 7/10

Kai Havertz: Slow but steady improvement from the German as he comes to terms with the nature of the Premier League. Slow first half but got better in the second half. Good assist for Hudson-Odoi’s goal. 5/10

Werner: Hit the bar, but not many bright moments for him against a tightly packed West Brom defence. Played as a right wing-back upon the introduction of Olivier Giroud. 5/10

Abraham: Missed two big chances in the first half but ended up scoring the third goal that helped Chelsea seal a draw. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Made Chelsea solid at the left after coming on for Alonso at half-time. Made his leadership presence felt as he roared back the team into the game. 6/10

Hudson-Odoi: Was the spark that brought about a Chelsea comeback. Scored a good goal and made some driving runs to help the team. 8/10

Giroud: Late sub for Thiago Silva but didn’t add much to the game.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

Coach 3/10 for picking Alonso against an offensive team

  2. Lambard must have his first eleven not just a s simple mistake you are out of the team.
Rudiger is best of all our ,defenders, we need him back

  3. This is not racist but Frank why persist with these incompetent defenders, i.e. The number 7, Kurt Zouma, Rudiger. James is out of position, he is almost as bad as Ashley Cole for bad positioning as a defender. Now you have bought a g’keeper is probably useless. Please concentrate on defenders who can do the job and stop over investing in in strikers. Please. B. Burgum a lifetime supporter. Thk.u.
