According to reports in France, Rennes are happy with the business achieved over Edouard Mendy’s move to Chelsea.
Chelsea confirmed the signing of the goalkeeper on a five year deal on Thursday morning and he could make his Chelsea debut against West Brom on Saturday.
Rennes are reportedly happy with the profit they made on the transfer of Mendy to Chelsea, having signed the Senegalese international for just €4million and sold him to Chelsea for an initial €24m fee plus a further €6m in bonuses.
After completing his Chelsea transfer, Mendy said: “I am so excited to be joining Chelsea.
“It’s a dream for me to be a part of this exciting squad and to work with Frank Lampard and all of his coaching staff. I look forward to meeting my team-mates and can’t wait to get started.”
