According to Teamtalk via Daily Express, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger refused to play in Chelsea’s Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly wanted to play Rudiger against Tottenham Hotspur but the German international refused to do so as he’s actively looking to leave Chelsea before the 5 October deadline.
Ironically, Tottenham are reportedly interested in acquiring Rudiger’s services on a season-long loan deal.
Rudiger’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a topic of fierce speculation as he’s yet to feature for the Blues this season.
Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in signing the German international.
