According to the Daily Mail, the future of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is in doubt after failing to play for the second consecutive match this season.
After being an unused substitute in the 3-1 win over Brighton last Monday, Rudiger was left out of the squad completely for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has preferred Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen in Chelsea’s first two games of the season but that is set to change following Christensen’s red card in the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Rudiger, who still has two years left on his contract, could push for an exit before the transfer window closes on 5 October.
Rudiger will be surprised he’s yet to feature for the Blues this season despite playing a role in the transfer of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
