Kai Havertz is finally a Chelsea player after the Blues confirmed the capture of the German starlet on Friday for a fee believed to be around £90million, including add-ons.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly played a huge role behind the scenes to ensure Chelsea completed the signing of the 21 year old.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Lampard called Havertz more than 10 times to ensure the German signed for Chelsea.
Lampard will definitely be the happiest manager in the Premier League at the moment after the club confirmed the signing of his key target Havertz.
Havertz had this to say on becoming a Chelsea player. “I am very happy and proud to be here, For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here.”
