One thing that the Chelsea team have this season, that we didn’t experience last season and even in previous seasons is competition for places.

From defence to attack, there’s a new sense of competition, and the goalkeepers aren’t left out.

Once the entire squad is fit, Blues boss Frank Lampard will have more than enough choice at his disposal, as the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic will bring an added swagger to the attack, that already has Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Tammy Abraham, who was the highest scorer in the Chelsea team last season with 18 goals, is happy with the competition in the squad at the moment, and believes that it’s time for the Blues to go on and win trophies.

“We all want good competition and good players,” Abraham said.

“You need to have that at Chelsea, because we want to be competitive in every competition at the end of the day it’s time to start winning trophies again.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
