Chelsea have signed two German stars this summer, as the Blues went on to sign two highly rated Bundesliga players in Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
Kai Havertz signing was confirmed on Friday evening, as he became the sixth player to sign for Chelsea this summer, following the additions of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva.
Werner, who has been a Chelsea player for more than a month now, has now welcomed his fellow Germany international, Kai Havertz.
“Welcome to Chelsea, my friend!” Werner posted on Twitter, after the deal was confirmed.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia also admitted that she was pleased to see the highly rated 21-year-old sign for the club.
He said about the new Chelsea signing: “Kai is one of the best players of his age in world football, so we are very happy that his future lies at Chelsea. ‘He has proven pedigree in one of the best leagues in Europe, he plays for the German national side and he is an exciting, dynamic talent.
“We are delighted to be able to add his versatility and quality to the squad before the season begins.”
