Chelsea announced on Thursday morning that new Chelsea signing Kai Havertz will wear the no.29 shirt, Fikayo Tomori’s shirt number last season, with Tomori handed the no.14 shirt.
Hakim Ziyech was allocated the no.22 shirt, Christian Pulisic switched to no.10 following Willian’s departure and Timo Werner was handed Pedro’s no.11.
After it was announced Havertz will don the no.29 shirt for Chelsea next season, the German international sent a message to Tomori on Instagram: “Thank you @fikayotomori – 29 🔵⚪️ .”
Tomori responded: responded: “It suits you bro 😍🤝”
Havertz wore the no.29 at Bayer Leverkusen before switching to Chelsea this summer.
