What Ampadu said after leaving Chelsea for Sheffield United

Ethan Ampadu will spend the season on loan at Sheffield United after spending the previous season on loan at RB Leipzig.

The upcoming season is going to be extremely important for Ampadu as he did not have enough game time last season, making just 7 appearances during his loan spell with RB Leipzig.

Speaking after completing his loan move to Sheffield United, Ampadu said: “I’m excited for it.

“A lot of people have told me a lot of great things about this place and when I first got here, you can see it’s a nice stadium.

“I had a few very good positive chats with Chris Wilder and about this place. A lot of people have said a lot of good things about him and that came across when I spoke to him myself.

“The unique style, it’s also got a very good feel around the place. Whether it’s the stadium or the training ground, it almost feels like a family. It’s definitely one of the things that attracted me here.

“Hopefully I can bring my quality. I like to think I can do that. Hopefully, I can bring some of the stuff I’ve learned from other places and try to get the winning mentality as well. I’ve had a good pre-season. I’ve come off two Wales games. I’m feeling good and feeling fit.”
