Ajax chief and Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar was pleased to see his former star Hakim Ziyech score in Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Krasnodar.

The Blues won 4-0 in our Champions League tie away to Krasnodar, with Ziyech getting the third goal for Chelsea.

Van der Sar who’s currently working as Ajax chief executive officer, kept a tab on their former players who recently departed the club, and is pleased with their progress.

“Alright then going to bed after watching some Champions League football and couple wins for our ex-players Frenkie de Jong, Hakim Ziyech first goal for Chelsea and a start for Donny van de Beek. Strange feeling as when I wake up after a good night sleep i will be 50 years old,” Van der Sar tweeted.

Reacting to Ziyech’s performance against Krasnodar, Lampard was also pleased, as he said: “I thought his performance was very, very good when you consider he hasn’t started a match since March, when the Dutch league finished.”
