Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has left the club on loan and will spend the remainder of the 2020/21 season on loan in the Premier League with Aston Villa.

Barkley has admitted that he’s excited about joining Villa, and has revealed that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who spent a season on loan with the Villans two years ago, spoke highly of the club to him.

“It’s really exciting and I spoke to Tammy and he explained how he loves the club and said how good it is when the fans were there,” Barkley told Villa TV after completing his move to Aston Villa.

“Hopefully they can all get back soon and we can enjoy it. We’ve adapted well to it but it’s not the same without the fans.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans have a mixed feeling about the departure of Barkley, as the Englishman has shown on certain occasions that he can produce the goods.
