German giants have had a longstanding interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, and the Bavarians are ready to push for a move for the highly rated Chelsea academy graduate once more.
Bayern have seen a £35m bid rejected for Hudson-Odoi in the past, and are now set to make another move for his signature before the summer transfer window deadline.
Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has confirmed Bayern’s interest in Hudson-Odoi and has revealed that they’d try to sign him up before deadline day.
He said: “He’s one of the best talents in his position, he can play on the wings and also as a No.10. That is why it’s legitimate for us as Bayern to show interest.
“We’ll wait until Monday to see what happens and when Monday comes we will define the goals that we consider realistic.”
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reacted to their interest after the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace as he admitted that anything could happen.
The Chelsea manager said: “Callum’s performance, particularly in the second half when he got more aggressive and wanted to take on his full-back and go on the outside, was very good. He’s absolutely part of my plans here.
“We have Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech but we need options on the wings and what Callum showed today and when he came on against West Brom was exactly what he needs to show so I’m very pleased with him.
“There is no definitive answer [about his future] but by Monday, we will have one. If Bayern have declared an interest then that’s one thing but as I’ve said before, everything that happens by Monday will be things that are firstly good for us as a club because Callum’s our player and also what Callum wants will come into consideration but it has to be right for everybody. At the minute, I want Callum part of my squad.”
