Chelsea boss Frank Lampard had huge plans for midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this season, but the 24-year-old is yet to rediscover his best form due to the Achilles tendon injury that kept him out of action for a year.
After the game against Brighton where he was in the starting sheet, Loftus-Cheek’s performance was below par, and he hasn’t featured again since then.
Loftus-Cheek will now spend the rest of the season on loan with Fulham as he aims to rediscover his best form.
Loftus-Cheek is seeking to regain his place in the England squad ahead of the Euros next summer.
Loftus-Cheek has been capped 10 times by England and went to the 2018 World Cup, but injuries have slowed down his progress.
The deal will soon be announced by both clubs.
