Chelsea fans have hailed Chelsea duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner as wonderboys after both players scored in Germany’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Switzerland on Tuesday night.
Werner and Havertz joined Frank Lampard’s side for a combined £126million this summer, leaving behind RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen respectively to move to England.
Werner has scored once since joining Chelsea while Havertz has three goals for the Blues already.
One Chelsea fan wrote on Twitter: “Werner and Havertz popping off tonight”.
“Werner and Havertz scoring tonight. You just love to see it,” said another.
A third commented: “Havertz & Werner, the Chelsea wonder boys”.
Another warned their upcoming Premier League opponents: “Havertz and Werner scored? Get ready Southampton”.
While one quipped: “Without Kai Havertz and Timo Werner Germany are basically San Marino.”
