According to Southampton head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl, Chelsea fans haven’t seen the best of Timo Werner yet as the striker waits for his first league goal.
Werner worked under Hasenhuttl when the pair were at RB Leipzig in 2016/17 and the Austrian coach believes there is more to come from Werner.
“He is getting a more complete striker now and is learning a lot. He is a good striker for Chelsea and he is only happy when he scores, so I hope he is unhappy after the game,” he told reporters, according to Standard Sport.
“I think when he has a team that gets him into the space he wants to be then he is very hard to defend against.
“They haven’t seen the best of him yet. It would be a mistake to reduce Chelsea to Timo, though. They have plenty of other good players in the squad.”
