England Under-21s booked a place in next year’s European Championships with two games to play, after a 2-1 victory against Turkey at the Molinuex Stadium.

Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi featured in that game, and was part of the young Lions attack that was lively all through the game.

Hudson-Odoi was subbed off in the 85th minute of the game, and played the match with a bandaged head.

Marc Guehi was part of the defence that was heading for a clean sheet until their opponents scored in the 92nd minute.

Meanwhile, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was an unused substitute for Spain in their 1-0 defeat to Ukraine. The Spaniard could feature for the Blues this weekend, if Edouard Mendy doesn’t return in time to face Southampton, after suffering injury in training while on international duty with Senegal.

For Hakim Ziyech, he has been recalled to Chelsea and didn’t feature in Morocco’s 1-1 friendly draw against DR Congo.
