Callum Hudson-Odoi was handed a rare start in Chelsea’s 4-0 Champions League victory over Krasnodar on Wednesday night, with the 19 year old winger scoring Chelsea’s first goal in the first half.
Hudson-Odoi was seen with ice strapping around his thigh after he was substituted in the 71st minute.
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has downplayed fears over Hudson-Odoi’s fitness amid fears the 19 year picked up an injury against Krasnodar.
“In terms of his injury, it hasn’t been flagged to me after the match that there’s a problem,” Lampard said when asked about Hudson-Odoi’s fitness.
“I hope and assume that there’s nothing wrong and I’m just pleased he had a good evening.”
