Chelsea’s next game is away at Burnley, with the Clarets hosting Chelsea at the Turf Moor.
Sean Dyche’s side has formed a reputation over the past few years of being a hard nut to crack, and they recently showed it in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham, with Spurs sweating hard to get a 1-0 victory.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game at the Turf Moor, Frank Lampard has admitted that he has watched their game with Spurs and knows how much of a difficult opponent they can be.
Burnley have been struggling since the start of the season and are yet to get a win in the Premier League this term. They currently lie in 18th place, but Lampard still has respect for them.
“I will always respect a Burnley team managed by Sean Dyche because of the qualities they have,” Lampard said.
“I watched the game against Tottenham (a 1-0 defeat) and they were very unfortunate to not take anything from the game against a very good Tottenham team.
“It was what you expect from Burnley in terms of their organisation, their effort, their desire and their qualities.
“People can pigeon-hole Burnley but I don’t. I know they have quality players, I know they have a very effective way of playing and a very good manager so I expect a tough match.”
