Chelsea went into the game against Southampton aiming for back to back victories for the first time in the Premier League this season, having beaten Crystal Palace 4-0 in our last Premier League game.
Despite racing into a 2-goal lead inside the first 30 minutes, Chelsea drew 3-3 against Southampton, with the Blues struggling defensively.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted he’s unsure why the club are performing so badly at the back.
On Chelsea’s poor defending, Lampard said: “We are seeing lots of goals across the league and no manager is happy.
“I don’t know why it is. There are attacking players in this league and maybe pre-season and lack of working time plays a part. But we have to get better at it.”
