Chelsea boss Frank Lampard hailed ‘forgotten man’ Hakim Ziyech after the Chelsea winger marked his first start with a goal in Wednesday’s 4-0 win against Krasnodar.
The game against Krasnodar was Ziyech’s first start since joining the Blues after missing the opening weeks of the campaign with a knee injury.
According to Lampard, people had forgotten about Ziyech because he signed in January and missed the start of the season due to injury.

Lampard said: “We brought him in to do a job. Maybe people have forgotten a bit because we signed him in January and he’s missed the start of the season. Tonight he certainly showed that he’s here.”
