Following Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Krasnodar on Wednesday night, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has a big decision to make heading into the January transfer window.

According to Daily Express, Antonio Rudiger’s performance against Krasnodar means Lampard still needs the defender despite Lampard’s willingness to let the German leave during the summer.

Lampard has preferred the centre-back partnership of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma but Silva’s age means the Brazilian won’t be able to play every game for the Blues.

During the summer transfer window, Lampard didn’t think he needed Rudiger but after watching his performance against Krasnodar, Lampard is expected to keep Rudiger at the club when the transfer window opens in January.
