Chelsea right-back Reece James got his maiden call-up with the England national team, as Gareth Southgate decided he had done enough to merit a place in the England setup.
James, who is deputy to skipper Cesar Azpilicueta, has shown in recent weeks that he has what it takes to play at the top.
Reece James took to social media to reveal how he had been enjoying being part of the senior team.
James was pictured training with Chelsea teammate Mason Mount, as the two Chelsea academy products have forced their way into the England team, following an impressive campaign, last term.
Chelsea’s team in Southgate’s squad could have been four, but Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell will miss England’s game against Wales on Thursday, after celebrating a surprise birthday party for Tammy, which had up to 20 people in attendance – which is against the UK Covid-19 rule.
