Mason Mount made 37 Premier League appearances as Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season despite the sale of Eden Hazard and the transfer ban on the club.
Since breaking into the Chelsea first team, Mount has also become a regular for the England national team, with the 21 year old making his ninth appearance for England in the 2-1 victory over Belgium on Sunday, a game in which he scored England’s winner.
Chelsea legend Ashley Cole has hailed Mount as one of the best young midfielders in England.
Explaining the unique qualities of Mount, Cole said on Sky Sports: “He seems to play in the Chelsea team consistently.
“One of Gareth’s favourites, he brings a lot of work ethic, desire, breaks lines without the ball, connects the game well, and one of the best young midfielders in England right now.”
