Chelsea have a tough game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, and the Blues enter this game at the end of back of back to back draws.

Chelsea played out a 3-3 draw with Southampton over the weekend, before playing a goalless draw with Sevilla at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Up next is a trip to Old Trafford, and Manchester United enter this game at the back of some serious wins. United defeated Newcastle 4-1, and followed that up with a 2-1 Champions League victory away to Paris Saint-Germain.

United were heavy underdogs leading up to this fixture, but pulled a surprise 2-1 win against the French champions at the Parc des Princes.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has spoken ahead of the game, as he admits that United are in good form, but his side will head to this game with belief.

Asked whether Chelsea can build on the performance against Sevilla ahead of their trip to the Theatre of Dreams, Lampard told BT Sport: “They (Manchester United) might be building on their performance tonight as well!

“They had a really good result. ‘We have to, it’s a long season and we’re in the real early stages of it.

“As I said before the game, we lost this game last year against Valencia so it’s a much better start for us and it gives us confidence ahead of what’s going to be a difficult group, no matter what way you look at it.

“But, yeah, league games now ahead of us… Manchester United are a huge test off the back of a very good result for them but we have to go there with belief.”
