Chelsea youngster Reece James earned a surprise call-up to the England national team, his first ever for the Three Lions, and the 20-year-old made his debut in the process.

Reece James came on as a 58th-minute substitute in a 3-0 win over Wales in a friendly match at the Wembley Stadium.

Reece James had a good game in such short time, and Mason Mount was introduced at the same time as well. Blues youngster Ethan Ampadu, who’s currently on loan at Sheffield United, began the match for Wales.

England will now play two UEFA Nations League games at Wembley, against Belgium on Sunday and Denmark on Wednesday, Reece James will be hoping to play a part as well.

Meanwhile, Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi who’s on loan at Crystal Palace, got a goal for Belgium in the draw with Ivory Coast.

Batshuayi had believed to have scored the winner when he scored in the 54th minute, in a home match against Ivory Coast, only for the African nation to make it 1-1 from the penalty spot with three minutes left on the clock, as Kessie scored from the spot.
