Chelsea right-back Reece James was hoping to come up against Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha this afternoon, when Chelsea host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
Zaha has started the season in fine form, and the tricky Palace winger will be hoping to have a good game against the Blues.
Meanwhile, Reece James who has started the season brightly, has revealed that the best way to stop Zaha is as a team.
“He’s a very good player,” the Chelsea right-back said ahead of the game.
“You can’t really pinpoint one thing to nullify him from the game because you don’t know what he’s going to do.
“He can come up with anything so it won’t be a one-man effort, it will be collectively as a team. Everyone needs to work together and as a unit to stop him and to stop Crystal Palace.”
Speaking about the disappointing 3-3 draw against West Brom last time out, where Chelsea were 3-0 down at half-time, James said: “It was tough to take,’ James reflects on the 3-3 draw at the Hawthorns.
“I felt we should have gone there and taken the three points but football doesn’t always go the way you want it to go and we found ourselves 3-0 down at half-time.
“We did very well to get a point from the game. We always knew we could score goals against them and we could have scored goals in the first half as well so we weren’t doubting ourselves.”
