Reports from France has claimed that Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has found his relationship with manager Frank Lampard becoming frosty.
According to French media outlet Le Parisien via Tribal Football, Kante’s relationship with Lampard has deteriorated since the summer.
The report claims Lampard rejected Kante’s request to take a day off from Blues training to attend his friend’s wedding, a decision which he has struggled to accept.
The report has since been gaining momentum, and The Telegraph’s Matt Law has now rubbished those rumours.
“Reports out of France of a problem between Frank Lampard and N’Golo Kante over a wedding are, excuse my French, total bollocks,” Law tweeted.
“Remember, it was Lampard who granted Kante compassionate leave when he was worried about Covid. No issue between manager and player.”
Lampard will address the media on Friday, in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Southampton clash, and he will surely respond to this rumour.
