The Blues were heavily linked with a move for Norwegian striker Erling Haaland before his transfer to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in January.
Haaland became one of the hottest players in European football at Red Bull Salzburg in the first half of last season, scoring 28 goals in 22 matches across all competitions for the Austrian outfit.
He then joined Borussia Dortmund in January and scored 16 goals in 18 appearances in the second half of last season.
Despite signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window, reports claim Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is still interested in signing Haaland.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Haaland can be signed for just €75million in the summer of 2022.
Romano tweeted: “Erling Haaland release clause will be valid by June 2022 for €75m, Borussia Dortmund board are in love with Haaland and hope to keep him also on next summer – for sure, they have no intention of selling Erling for €75m on 2021.”
