Following Thursday’s Champions League group stage draw, the Blues have been drawn in Group E, the same group as Sevilla, Krasnodar and Rennes.

One team that will give Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sleepless night is Sevilla, who are the current Europa League champions.

Chelsea have a poor record against Spanish teams and failed to beat Valencia over two legs in last season’s Champions League group stage.

According to Opta, Chelsea have won just one of our last 10 European games against Spanish opposition (D5 L4), a 2-1 victory away against Atletico Madrid in September 2017.

Chelsea will need to improve our record against Spanish teams in European games if we want to finish first in our Champions League group.
