According to Daily Star, the current atmosphere at Chelsea is tense, with manager Frank Lampard in the midst of shaping a squad after spending big on new players this summer.

The Blues spent over £200million in the transfer market with Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, Kai Havertz and Edouard Mendy all joining Chelsea.

The report claims things are tense at Chelsea right now, with uncertainty surrounding a number of players and some pushing for an exit.

Marcos Alonso is one of those whose future is uncertain after he was given a public dressing down in front of his teammates after the 3-3 draw at West Brom.

Along with Alonso, the future is uncertain for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Antonio Rudiger, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Emerson Palmieri, with all eight players having been linked with either a permanent or loan move this summer.

  1. Lamp is better a championship than premier league coach. So so inexperienced as the bunch he has assembled.
He will need some 10yrs to come through.

  2. I see Lampard trying to favor Mount and Barkley. His knowledge of the game as a coach is very shallow. He needs to go understudy technically sound coach to gain more experience

    • How can that be? Barkley has gone on loan and Mount did not feature in the 4-0 Palace win? Just because he supports a player, (which he should support all players) does not mean he favours them!
