Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva will miss Chelsea’s Champions League game against Russian club Krasnodar despite an impressive performance against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Brazilian centre-back didn’t travel with the team to Russia for the game on Wednesday and many fans are worried he’s picked up an injury.

Silva has simply been rested for the trip to Russia and has no underlying issue ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Burnley this weekend.

Silva’s absence means it’s likely one of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen or Fikayo Tomori will likely partner Kurt Zouma in central defence against Krasnodar.
