New Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is yet to make his debut for the club, but there are claims that United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, will give the Uruguayan his debut in this weekend’s clash against Chelsea.
Cavani who had been linked with Chelsea in the past, signed a two-year deal with United on transfer deadline day.
The 33-year-old Uruguayan had to self-isolate for a fortnight due to Covid-19 protocols, and subsequently missed United’s Premier League game against Newcastle.
Cavani also missed United’s Champions League clash against PSG, but Solskjaer revealed that he was keeping his star striker for Chelsea.
Solskjaer said: “We hope the players won’t be away for too long.
“Edinson [Cavani] needs a few more days training before we can maybe think about the weekend [against Chelsea].”
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is confident that new Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani will bring different qualities to United’s attack.
