Chelsea play host to Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, with Frank Lampard seeking to close the gap at the top, with Chelsea currently 7th on the table.

A lot of expectations is on Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, to deliver this season, after guiding Chelsea to a fourth place finish last season, and then with a massive outlay in the summer transfer market.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, has decided to add to the pressure of the Chelsea boss, by insisting that Lampard must now deliver, with the quality of players at his disposal.

“If they are not better than last season then that’s a lot of money for nothing, so they have to be better,” Ralph Hasenhuttl said, ahead of Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge.

“They have so much quality now with Kai Havertz and others. They are a team who are prepared to win title and trophies so it will be more difficult than last season, maybe.

“The level is high and we have to reach their level otherwise it will be difficult to get something.”
