Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho have gotten the clear and will be permitted to feature in England’s upcoming international games, having been kept aside, due to their social gathering recently, that went against Covid-19 guidelines.
Tammy Abraham, Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell were all involved in Tammy’s 23rd birthday party, as the Chelsea striker was thrown a surprise birthday party.
The trio had to be kept aside from the rest of the squad until a coronavirus test was conducted, and the test results came out negative.
England boss Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho will be part of the team to face Belgium this weekend, but Chilwell will be unavailable, as he’s feeling unwell.
“Tammy and Jadon have trained independently. That’s with us but in isolation this afternoon. All three players have tested negatively,” Southgate told reporters after watching his side record their first win at Wembley in 2020, following a 3-0 win over Wales.
“Ben has had some illness which we think is minor but as a precaution, we kept him separate from the group at the moment.
“So there’s probably a small chance that he won’t be with us for UEFA testing which should rule him out on Sunday. But, Jadon and Tammy will be available for that.”
