Speaking after the game, Manchester United legend Gary Neville, revealed that Silva was comfortable in defence and was even enjoying his game.
“You have to say that Thiago has looked like he’s enjoying himself in the centre of that back three. He’s looked comfortable,” Gary Neville said on Sky Sports as he analysed the match.
“His part is working so far for Chelsea, with Azpilicueta and Zouma alongside him.
“Chelsea’s game-plan hasn’t changed,” Neville added. “That clean sheet seems so important to them. Frank Lampard’s had enough of conceding goals in the Premier League.”
