Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has been included in the Morocco squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games.

Morocco will play Edouard Mendy’s Senegal and DR Congo in their upcoming AFCON qualifiers, and Ziyech is expected to captain the North African side.

Ziyech is yet to play for Chelsea this season, having suffered an injury in a friendly fixture against Brighton, and Lampard will be hoping to have him for this weekend’s game against Crystal Palace.

Like Christian Pulisic, Lampard delivered his verdict on Ziyech that they won’t be available for Tuesday’s game against Spurs.

“Ziyech and Pulisic are not far away but they are still in a recovery phase,” Lampard said in his pre-match press conference.

“Too early for them both.”

Lampard will give an update on Ziyech and Pulisic in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
