Antonio Rudiger played a huge role in helping Chelsea sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. Many top clubs in Europe were interested in signing the German striker, but it was Chelsea who won the race eventually, with the help of Rudiger.
After two months since the start of the season, with 8 goals already scored by Werner, Rudiger has admitted that he’s pleased with the performance of his international teammate.
“The league has accepted Timo really well,” Rudiger told German outlet SID.
“Timo integrated into the team and the league very quickly.
“He can use his speed very well, causes defenders huge problems and exudes confidence all the time.”
Werner has scored four goals and assisted two in nine Premier League games this season, and assisted Tammy Abraham in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Newcastle.
