Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood has confessed Chelsea were too good for Burnley when both sides met on Saturday.
Chelsea beat Burnley 3-0 at Turf Moor on Saturday, with goals from Hakim Ziyech, Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner.
“It was a difficult day,” admitted Westwood.
“We started all right and had a big chance for Barnsey, who unfortunately didn’t quite put it away, but they’re a top side and we were a bit off it today, which isn’t like us.
“We were happy with the way we performed against Tottenham and I think we came off it a bit today.
“It’s difficult against a top side like that. They’re up there for a reason. They made six changes and you wouldn’t say they were weakened.
“They have the quality to hurt you and stretched us all over the pitch and credit to them. They deserved the win.
“That’s the difficulty of the Premier League and we need to re-group and go again.”
