A Chelsea fan has admitted being worried that the emergence of Hakim Ziyech will take the shine of Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.

Pulisic was the star on the pitch for Chelsea last season, and it looked like the Blues could not play without him, as Chelsea struggled in his absence in the second half of last season.

With Frank Lampard making multiple signings during the summer transfer window, the Blues have now looked a different side in recent weeks, without Pulisic who has been out injured for most of the games.

Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech has been doing very well and even won the man of the match in the last two games. The 27-year-old has also been receiving praises from the media and ex footballers.

In our comments section, which has been flooded with fans singing the praise of Ziyech, one fan moaned that Pulisic could soon be forgotten, while another warned of complacency.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes that there is still more to come from Ziyech.

“Maybe there’s some more to come, he hasn’t played games for a long time and off the back of an injury he’s hit the ground running,” Lampard told Chelsea TV shortly after the 4-1 win against Sheffield United.

“But his work ethic has been great, his desire to win the ball back for a modern-day winger is imperative to the press.

“The magic, the bit you want from him when you bring him in, is that quality of breaking a line or finding a cross.

“I wanted him to bring something different and he’s clearly brought that in these early stages and hopefully we can keep working on that.”
