Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has been in good form for Chelsea in recent weeks, and the Moroccan international has been earning plaudits from all corner.
The 27-year-old has now been likened to Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, with former England boss Steve McClaren claiming that the Chelsea star is the left-footed version of the City star, who has been a top player in the Premier League for many years now.
“They’ve got a great scouting system in Holland, at Twente, the four years I was there, we brought many players through from different countries,” McClaren said on TalkSport.
“Diamonds they were, really rough diamonds, street players but Holland was perfect for them and Ziyech is just that.
“He has the confidence, bordering on arrogance. He is a maverick, street player; he is different, and needs nurturing in a different way.
“He’s not every managers’ cup of tea, but I watched Ajax a lot and watched him and he is the left-footed De Bruyne.
He added: “He can see things; from the stands, you can see things and he can see them from the field. He is incredible.
“When he’s been playing for Chelsea there have been moments of pure magic.”
Ziyech has scored two goals and three assists in seven appearances this season, and has looked a great signing so far for Frank Lampard.
