Chelsea youth team defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, to set up a final with Manchester City.
The Blues U18s lost to Manchester City on Monday night at St George’s Park.
It was an action packed encounter as the game ended 3-2, in what was a typical final clash.
Chelsea scored the first goal through Marcel Lewis in the 28th minute, before City equalised only nine minutes later.
The first half ended 1-1, only for Manchester City to draw first blood in the second half as Morgan Rogers scored seven minutes after the restart.
However, Lewis forced a goal off Taylor Harwood-Bellies seven minutes later to make it 2-2. With the game looking like it will be headed to penalty kicks, Cole Palmer found the back of the net to make it 3-2 for City in the 84th minute.
There was no much time left for Chelsea to come back — although Peart-Harris came so close in the 94th minute, as he sent a header inches wide of the post.
Chelsea had beaten City three times in finals over the past decade, in 2015, 2016, and 2017, but this time they didn’t have enough luck on their side.
