Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has warned Premier League defenders that they will have to worry about facing a world-class Timo Werner for the next ten years.
24 year old Werner has smashed seven goals in his last six games, having failed to score in his opening four league appearances.
Werner told Soccer AM: “He’s up there with [Kane and Vardy] and he can go on to be absolutely world class for a long time, the next ten years or so.
“I think when you look at his age and how prolific he is in front of goal, even now his stats at Chelsea he’s scored a lot of goals already.
“He has similar characteristics to both (Jamie) Vardy and (Harry) Kane.
“In terms of running the channels and how quick he is, he’s similar to Vardy.
“With Harry, his link-up play and finishing is similar so he’s definitely in a category with those two.
“At Chelsea, we’re very lucky to have him.”
