Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva scored his first Chelsea goal as the Blues beat Sheffield United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The 36-year-old nodded a powerful header into the post to extend Chelsea’s lead to 3-1, as the Blues went on to win the game 4-1.
Ben Chilwell who scored the second goal for Chelsea was full of praise for Silva as he joined him to celebrate on the pitch.
It didn’t end there for Chilwell, who also took to social media to hail Thiago Silva, as he posted of the two of them celebrating the goal and captioned it: “Golazo for me and my brooo 🤩@tsilva3. Massive win and performance from everyone! đź’™”
Golazo is referred to as a beautiful goal in Spanish and Portuguese.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe watched the defender score his first Chelsea goal and was was quick to congratulate his former captain on social media.
“Congratulations my brother,” stated the young striker.
