Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the first goal of the game for the Chelsea, in the 2-1 win against Rennes on Tuesday night.
Hudson-Odoi’s goal came from a swift counterattack move, with Mason Mount playing a fine pass from deep to set Hudson-Odoi on a plate, and the young winger didn’t fail to score the goal.
Explaining his perfect run for the delightful pass from Mount, Hudson-Odoi revealed after the game that he knew Mount would put that ball for him.
Hudson-Odoi said: “I know Mason, he works really hard, he presses it well in the middle. As soon as he won the ball I thought to myself ‘take off’ because I knew that I was in front of the full-back and I knew that he would find me straight away.
“His vision is amazing and he saw me straight away, which I was happy about, and I got in there and I scored a goal so I’m really happy.”
