Chelsea’s defence has been making some improvements and scoring some points, with clean sheet after clean sheet.
Chelsea who has been known for leaking in goals under Frank Lampard, have now been keeping clean sheets.
Speaking after all game against Rennes, Blues boss Frank Lampard admitted he was pleased with keeping yet another clean sheet.
He said: “I’m pleased because it’s work, it’s the team, it’s players that are in there confident and fit. We’re working as a collective, with individuals within that performing really well at the back-end of the team and that’s good for us.
“These stats are great but we cannot come off it at all and that’s why I’m pleased we saw it through at the end of the game.”
Chelsea have looked a different side since the coming of Edouard Mendy. Mendy has formed a strong partnership with Thiago Siva, and Ben Chilwell has also been great.
